Give Me Inspiration!

So, here I am, sitting cross-legged on my bed, typing this out right now, with my iPod in, and a magazine beside me, and wondering what the hell to do for Graphics. Being a Graphics pupil, I am supposed to re-design a logo. And being a huge fan of music, it's kind of obvious what logo I've decided on -  MTV. But, I am stuck. It's like a puzzle. I don't know where the pieces fit. Re-designing logo's are harder than you'd imagine. And having to fill two A3 pages from my sketchbook, it's pretty hard! And that's not only the problem, considering Graphics is involved with a laptop/computer, it's easy to get distracted. I always 'somehow' end up on YouTube, Blogger or the iTunes Store, and I never get my homework done in time. Yep, life sucks. You're now probably wondering what this post has got to do with music, right? Well, my teacher once told me personally, that music inspires you into drawing, sketching, designing or whatever. And I do believe her, but maybe I'm not normal, because I get so lost into the music, I end up day-dreaming of my love life, or how amazing seeing that band live would be. But, one band really does help inspire me - You Me At Six. Especially their second album, 'Hold Me Down.' I don't know what it is with this album, but the lyrics aren't too emotional, so I don't end up day dreaming. The beat keeps me going.

So, if you're an Art or Graphics student, who might be stuck on what to do with their work, listen to 'Hold Me Down,' either on iTunes, or there's a preview of the full album on YouTube. The video's down below, if you can't find it. And who knows? You might've found yourselves a new favourite band guys! The best song in the track, has to be 'Trophy Eyes,' or 'Underdog.' The soft ballad in this album, is 'Fireworks.' And my gosh, what a song. So emotional. So I try not to listen to this during the first tracks. I honestly love this album. You Me At Six were the band that brought me to the world of Rock music, so I love them dearly for that reason. They changed my life, the way I looked at things. I'm no longer the scared little girl, who was too afraid to show who she really is, I'm confident about myself. My personality. My looks, I don't care what people think of me. As long as you've got a loving family, and great friends, and that one best friend to share everything with, you're doing great, right? Most people would add, 'the boy you love,' to that list, but personally, I don't think having a boyfriend/girlfriend affects showing who you really are. You have to be yourself in order to find that one person who'll love you back, for who you are and not for who you want to be. Myself, for example, a boy likes me at school, and I like him back, but we're both the shyest people ever when it comes to expressing our feelings towards one another in front of other people. But, that's us, that's how we are. And we've liked each other for around 4-5 years, I know, loooooooong time, but yeah, that's us. So, be yourself, and you'll find the one. You'll find your-true-self. I promise.

A Little Over The Top.

Ok, having being a lucky git today, after spending my day in Cardiff shopping, mostly in HMV, River Island, & Starbucks, (everyone has to have a coffee break, right?), I bought 5 CD's. Yes, you read correctly, 5 CD's in HMV. The 'two for £10,' offer gets me too excited for my own good. But, 5 CD's for me is nothing compared to my maximum of 10 CD's all in one go, so I did pretty well today, even though Mum had to stop me from picking other CD's up from that magnificent aisle. I'm guessing you want to know what CD's I bought, right? No? Well, I'm going to tell you anyway, as it is my blog after all, right?

Ok, so the first CD I picked up was, 'The Killers - Sam's Town.' Now, The Killers are one of my all time favourite bands, not only because Brandon Flowers is the love of my life, but also because of their unusual rock n' roll music. I have not yet heard all the album, as I've just got back from Cardiff, but it's progressing, and I'm now on track 6, 'Read My Mind,' which is fucking fab, if you're asking me! I own 3 of The Killers' album at the moment, their brand new album will be in my arms on my birthday, and Brandon Flowers' CD will be mine this Christmas. 24 DAYS TO GO. Anyway, I have not yet persuaded my parents to let me see them live next year, as they do cost quite a bit, per person. And me & my friend are desperate to see them live. Yep, I admitt it, I would like to see a lot of bands live, but The Killers are the only band my parents would let me watch, or You Me At Six, because of their lack in swearing in their CD's. Anyway, 'Sam's Town' is now synced into my iPod Nano, ready to be listened to every morning on the bus to school.

The second CD I picked up was 'Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More.' Mumford & Sons aren't exactly my cup of tea, but having listened to them on MTV Rocks, and on YouTube, I have to admit, some of their songs send shivers down my back. 'The Cave,' 'Sigh No More,' and 'Little Lion Man,' are some of the greatest songs I've heard, and they all have a story behind them. I have not yet listened to the album yet, but once I do, I'll let you all know my opinion on it. Plan!

Ok, as me & my friends decided to do Secret Santa this year, I picked my friend's name from the box, and she did ask me for 'Fun.'s CD, so as it was a chart CD, and the chart CD's were 'Two for £15,' I decided to buy another CD to get the full price of this wonderful deal, and there was one solution. JAKE BUGG. Yep, Jake Bugg's CD is now in my rack, and synced into iTunes, & my iPod Nano, very exciting stuff guys. Not only is he one of the most gorgeous 18 year old's in this whole universe, his voice, oh his voice, is so relaxing, and the lyrics describe my life so much. I know I say this all the time, but he truly is an inspiration to many young adults, and teenagers. As Jake said himself, 'I'm keeping that X Factor shit off the top spot.' Let's see if that works out, which I'm sure it will.

The last CD I got off the rack, was The Script's new CD for my little sister for Christmas. She seriously loves this band. I'm not too fond of them myself, but everyone has different opinion's on things. Now, obviously, I haven't listened to this CD, as it's wrapped up in gold wrapping paper ready for the big day. The only song I like from this band is 'For The First Time,' once this came out, I instantly fell in love with it. The lyrics, and his voice, wow. I'm sure my sister will love this present, and she honestly deserves it. We fight, we argue, we say horrible things to each other, even though we don't mean it, but I do really love her. And she's not only a sister to me, but a best friend. And at the end of the day, we tell each other everything, and the least I could do is get her a great present which she'd love.

So, as you're probably guessing, I spent a whole hour in HMV today, and I would've been a lot longer, but I got dragged out, which was such a depressing moment. But, whenever you pass this shop, make sure that you nip in for a quick look, & you might get inspired by these amazing offers, and try not to be like me, buying all the CD's I want before Christmas, or you'll be sad on the day with nothing to open. But, yeah, LIVE FAST & DIE YOUNG. xo

Friday 16 November 2012

Chill, it's the weekend & 38 Days To Go!

From this week, I honestly can say that I am so glad it's the weekend. It's been such a frustrating week for me at school, dealing with stress, the homework, deadlines, controlled assessments, and to top it all off - heartbreak. That's it, a guy broke my heart earlier this week, and left me collapsing onto the floor cuddling my dog with tears flooding down my cheeks without intentions to do so. I know, I'm really soppy. They say 'the school days are the best days of your life,' ahahahahahahahahahahaha, not really. So now, I'm sat here at 6:00pm on Friday night, writing this blog while listening to The Killers' album 'Hot Fuss,' and Paranormal Activity's on telly with me, (I love scary movies,) and trying to forget the disastrous week I've had, and hoping no week will ever be like this again.

You're probably wondering what this post has to do with music, but as you all know, 38 days 'till Christmas guys! Omfg, can I be anymore excited? I've already asked the parents what I would like for Christmas, and hoping to go shopping for it next week. Excitement is taking over the heartbreak. My 8 year old iPod has sadly crashed, not willing to play songs, and only the right earphone works, yay. So, obviously an iPod is first on my list, along with a Wii Fit or a Kindle, decisions decisions. My fitness is improving, after 5 months of 30 minutes on the bike every single night and running every single night, and the once-a-week-gym sessions. So, I think I'll give the Wii Fit a miss. Anyway, while I'm blabbing on about what I want for Christmas, what are the greatest Christmas songs ever created? Wham!'s 'Last Christmas?' Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You?' Or Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas?' Well, it's festive season and it's about time we start listening to these beauty songs to put us in a great jolly mood. If I were the one choosing my Top 10 Christmas songs, it would go a little like this :-

1.All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey
2. Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer
3. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - Wizzard
4. Santa Clause Is Coming To Town
5. Do They Know It's Christmas - Band Aid
6. Grandma Got Run Over By Reindeer - Elmo & Patsy
7. Wham! - Last Christmas
8. Santa Baby -  Eartha Kitt
9. Jingle Bells
10. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree - Dion

I'm getting into the festive spirit already. Me & my friends have decided to do secret santa this year & to spend £25 on that individual. I haven't started shopping yet. Yep, so organised I am. But, I'm sure I'll start when December comes peeking around the corner. If you want my advice, don't leave everything to the last minute as I always do. But, anyway, get too excited, annoy your classmates, scream the place down with anger & frustration, and remember 38 DAYS TO GO!

BRANDON FLOWERS.

Okay, so what would you all ask Brandon Flowers if he turned up on your doorstep in random? What does he like about performing? What does he think The Killers will do next? Does he enjoy singing or performing mostly? Where are the best fans stated? So, there's the normal questions you'd ask him, yeah? Well, because I'm basically abnormal, and proud of it too, I have my very own question to ask him. Yep, that's it, I'd ask him to marry me. He is basically my ideal man. The love of my life. He'd obviously say no as he has a loving wife & two children but it's worth a try.

If you've been reading my other posts, you'd know that my Brandon Flowers obsession hadn't occurred, until last week, when I was feeling quite crap & heartbroken so I turned to The Killers' album 'Hot Fuss,' for help, and it honestly cheered me up big time. I then realized what a loyal man Brandon Flowers is. I feel as if he's written the lyrics exactly for myself, the way I feel, so he's been through the same situations. And there is nothing better than interacting with someone who feels or felt the same way I do, I feel I can relate to him in so many ways. My favourite song has to be 'Mr. Brightside,' or Brandon's very own song, 'Crossfire.' Here are some of Brandon's and The Killers' lyrics:

'I just can't look, it's killing me,
And taking control,
Jealousy, turning saints into the sea,
Swimming through sick lullabies,
Choking on your alibis,
But it's just the price I pay,
Destiny is calling me,
Open up my eager eyes,
Cause I'm Mr Brightside.'

'Let's take a chance baby we can't lose,
Mean we're all just runaways,
I knew it when I met you, I'm not gonna let you runaway,
I knew that when I held you, I wasn't letting go.'

Here are some of  The Killers' songs on YouTube.

What did you just say, *hu-hum,* SING?

When people are suicidal, they tend to turn to music, right? Well, how true is that saying? Pop music, the music that fills the charts these days, I know - draaaaaaag, don't really tend to be inspirational in any sort of way, they only sing about girls, love, sex, & drugs. But rock music is different. Punk-rock bands, such as My Chemical Romance, Deaf Havana, Iron Maiden, Green Day & You Me At Six write lyrics which affect people in an unforgettable way. When people are suicidal, 80% of them will turn to Rock Music. I think it's because many band members have gone through hard times, such as alcolism, depression, drug abuse or even been suicidal themselves, and they include their feelings at that time in their music. Some of my favourite lyrics are mostly said by Gerard Way, Josh Franceschi, Chris Martin, Billy-Joe Armstrong, Jared Leto, yeah and many more. When I feel depressed, or fed up of school work and my life-style, the song that comes on right away is 'Alibi - 30 Seconds To Mars,' and then following with -

'Sleep' - My Chemical Romance
'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' - Green Day
'Hallelujah' - Paramore
'Fireworks' - You Me At Six
'No One Does It Better' - You Me At Six
'A Beautiful Lie' - 30 Seconds to Mars
'I'm Not Okay (I Promise)' - My Chemical Romance
'Famous Last Words' - My Chemical Romance
'Stop The Clocks' - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
'Resistance' - Muse

I know, they are quite depressing songs but they really do cheer me up, as they sing about my feelings at that moment. So, whenever I feel moody even, I put my headphones into my iPod & put these fantastic songs on shuffle, while lying down on my bed. And 90% of the times, I end up smiling up at the ceiling, happy with my life. I also take a look at some inspirational quotes. (I know, I am quite weird, but it helps me.) So, yeah, I'll put some of my favourite quotes down below, so if you're feeling fed up of life one day, remember that these pictures are on this very blog.

We'll Taste It Like Sugar.

This is a short post on one of my new favourite 18 year old's in the world. That's right. Jake Bugg is probably the coolest guy on Earth right now, with an unforgettable voice & of course, he's gorgeous. As 'Taste It,' was single of the week on iTunes, and free so even though I hadn't heard any of his songs or even heard about him at that time, I downloaded it & geez was it a great idea of mine! I'm on the edge to buying his new CD from HMV, or Amazon, even though the CD is £9.00 on Amazon, it's better than buying it on iTunes I guess. 'Two Fingers,' his other single was released a while ago now, & the video's had over 1 million hits on YouTube. Give it a look in your spare time! And not only that, he has some inspirational lyrics for 'Taste It' which really made me think, 'You only have one life. Let's go live it in full, don't waste any time.'

"Filled my head with the future, fill my eyes with the sky,
Hold my life get left behind, but I never felt more alive.
I speak conversations, speeding it down the line,
Locked in your eyes I just had this goodbye,
But I never felt more alive.

The Official Band Tees.

No, this is not what you may think it is. This is no post about One Direction's tees or Justin Bieber's or any other Pop artists out there. This is a post about my favourite band tees, from some of my favourite bands. And again, no, you may not like the same bands as me, but hey! Who cares? We all have different tastes in music, right? I'm more of a punk-rock chick, whereas you there, could be interested in Jazz or even Classical for that matter. But that doesn't mean we don't have a right to listen to our own style of music. This blog is about punk-rock band tees, as you may now know, it's kind of obvious that it was going to be. ^ 'Rock n' Roll baby; Rock n' Roll' might be a slight clue for you all, & if you've read my other posts.
Blink 182 - Smiley Face
loudclothing.com

Band tee #1.
Blink 182's classic smiley face tee. The colours in this attractive t-shirt are quite dull, but could easily be teamed with some leather leggings, or black jeans, with quite bright coloured shoes, like red vans (if you're lucky enough to own them - jealous is an understatement,) or even just some bright old, average shoes you own. Blink 182 have some amazing t-shirt designs, which, if I had the money, I'd buy no matter what. Not being a massive fan in their music, but they sure do have some great tracks, that I very fondly came across on iTunes the other day, like 'All The Small Things,' 'I Miss You,' & 'First Date.'

My Chemical Romance 'California 2019
Charcoal T-shirt.'
mychemicalromance.com/officialstore
Band tee #2.
I know, I know, I'm coming back to MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE again. Hmm, obsessive much? No, I'm joking. Anyway, back to the important facts. This is my favourite t-shirt by the band, considering the others were quite plain, & this had the american flag on it, which apparently is in fashion right now, or at least used to be.. Shows how much I'm with it. And it clearly states the band's name, and obviously comes from the band's fourth album - Danger Days, (see last post for details on the album.) I'd pair this with a pair of ripped shorts & black tights, with converses, and a leather jacket, but that's up to you obviously. If you'd like to listen to their music, I'd most probably recommend 'The Kids From Yesterday,' 'Teenagers,' 'Famous Last Words,' 'Helena,' or 'Welcome To The Black Parade.' Keep Running!

Guns N' Roses 'Drum Strappy Vest.'
truffleshuffle.com

Band tee #3.
Not only has this vest top been worn by a lot of girls, & boys for that matter, (and I mean A LOT, even the people who've never even heard one single from the band, which I find unrealistically annoying, I mean, why buy a band tee of a band you never listen to?) but it is one fucking amazing design! As I am doing graphics for my GCSE's this year, it's kind of an unforgettable experience coming across designs such as these. I love the large logo placed in the middle, as other bands tend to place their name in a small font, with unnecessary images around it. I would team this original up with some ripped coloured jeans, or even plain ripped jeans, with a bright cardigan, & some toms, or coloured vans.

Deaf Havana 'Ladies Young and
Unemployment T-shirt (Navy)'
deafhavana.co.uk/officialmerchandise

Band Tee #4.
Deaf Havana have earned a large place inside my heart. Owning one of their albums, 'Fools And Worthless Liars,' it's hard not to fall in love with the sweet tone of the lead singer's voice, & the constant guitar strumming, with the beat of the drums. 'Hunstanton Pier' has got to be the biggest heart-breaker song you'll ever come across. I'll be doing a post on this amazing band very soon! Anyway, this t-shirt's statement are an unforgettable and inspirational lyrical quote. Being this plain, it won't be hard to team up with some coloured trousers, or even bright shorts & black tights, if you're aiming for the 'ultimate rock chick over here' look. Some purple or red vans would look great with this tee, & a leather jacket, & some bracelets, (if you're female obvsiously - I wouldn't recommend covering your arm in bracelets if you were male. It would seem wrong.)

Green Day 'Gun & Flower T-Shirt'
greenday.com/officialstore

Band Tee #5.
This is the last of all the band tees I'm introducing to you all tonight, as I have to go to the gym. I know, I'm trying to keep fit before stuffing my face during Christmas time. This tee has come from one of my favourite bands - Green Day. Not being Green Day's fan before buying 'American Idiot' in HMV on my trip to Cardiff one day, I came across this while searching for my You Me At Six tee, which has got too big on me now, after wearing it so much & losing a bit of weight at the gym :(. But, I still tuck it into my trousers, same thing! Moving onto the important details now, this tee is incredibly aligned, as it shows opposites attract with a gun & a flower. It clearly shows the band's name, which you can flaunt to many Green Day lovers, & make them jealous as I am with my You Me At Six shirt, as you may imagine. This tee is fitted, therefore you can also flaunt your curves girls! Sadly, this design is not made for men, but then again, buy two sizes bigger, and it won't be fitted! But, then again, I wouldn't take everything I say as I'm not a fashion expert. ;) Okay, I'd team this up with leather leggings for definite, as the tee is white, which is much easier to team up with than any other colour. You obviously will need to add a bit of colour to your outfit, maybe with your shoes, again, with bright coloured vans, or converses, or even just your plain canvas shoes. This would also look nice with your DM's, or just plain biker boots, if your aiming for the 'rock n' roll chick.' I'd wear a leather jacket, or a red cardigan too.

I hope you've all had a taster on what band tee's mean to the world, & how you can wear them in many ways, not only to watch them live, (if you're extremely lucky that is,) but to go shopping, or even just a casual day out. I have to dash now, < very English, I apologize. I'm off to the gym now, happy days! Live Fast & Die Young. xo

The Art Of 'Danger Days.'

You're all probably wondering 'what's this whole 'art of Danger Days thing she has going on?' Well, I can tell you all now, guys, this astonishing album was created and role-played by my favourite band - My Chemical Romance. Not only has this album sold double platinum here in the UK, but is also the album that influenced many young people to become artists, & to stand up for themselves no matter what. As Gerard Way automatically adds to any interview he has, 'Be Yourself. And don't take anyone's shit,' it's obviously going to play a great deal in the album. Mikey Way takes a turn into his circle of life, as he leaves his 'poker face' for a brand-new 'don't mess with me' face that I truly love, and admire. And did I also add that he is super handsome and the love of my life? Yes, well, there's always one ;).

So, what influenced the band on creating such a different-sound to 'The Black Parade?'
Well, My Chemical Romance have said that 'The Black Parade' was a difficult task to succeed as they thought the record company told them what to do & controlled how they created their music whereas Danger Days was all down to them themselves, with Gerard writing the inspirational lyrics & Frank, Mikey, Ray & Bob (in a few songs, as he very sadly left the band with no reason,) composing the up-beat rock sounds. They've even added a track which the fans could dance to! Where did that come from?! Planetery (GO!) is definitely one of my all-time favourite tracks which I find myself singing loudly to every time, even though I'm listening to it with my iPod, so I look kind of weird. But, as the band say, 'Don't listen to anyone else, & it doesn't matter what they think, as long as you're happy, nothing else matters,' so I'll take that advice very fondly.

This album is basically about the four kilijoys, as Gerard was very fond in creating comic books as a teenager, therefore wanted to create an album as a story-teller. All four members have their very own comical name! How cooler can this get, guys? Gerard as the front-man, gets 'Party Poison,' and also a song for himself, named 'Party Poison,' Mikey Way, Gerard's gorgeous brother, as 'Kobra Kid,' and sadly doesn't get a track of his own but Dr. Death Defying mentions him in a short re-cap of the story in the album, 'Jet Star' is the band's guitarist, Ray Toro, and Frank Iero, as the rhythm guitarist is the 'Fun Ghoul.' The evil corporation called, 'The Better Living Industries' are after the 'Little Girl,' whose also Gerard & Mikey's cousin FYI, and the four kilijoys are out to stop them. The videos 'Na Na Na,' and 'Sing' are all about the kilijoys trying to get the 'Little Girl' back into their arms, safely without the evil corporation taking over the world. But, sadly, they fail & they all end up dead. (Not really, in the video only, in case I've got you all panicked...) I'll put the link for these incredible videos from YouTube at the end for you all, as I'm too nice.

What tracks are on this CD then?
Well, I'll give you the track list to start off, & then some information on how amazing these tracks are & a little info on how 'The Kids From Yesterday' is the most inspirational song in the world.
1. Look Alive, Sunshine.
2. Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na)
3. Bulletproof Heart.
4. Sing.
5. Planetery (GO!)
6. The Only Hope For Me Is You.
7. Jet Star & The Kobra Kid/Traffic Report.
8. Party Poison.
9. Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back.
10. S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W
11. Summertime.
12. Destroya.
13. The Kids From Yesterday.
14. Goodnite, Dr. Death.
15. Vampire Money.
So, there is the track list, and as I stated above, I'm now going to talk you through how the video 'The Kids From Yesterday' was created. Emily, being a massive fan of the band, created a fan-video on YouTube on how the band have grown-up according to their music, & personalities, she included many video-takes from their very first tour, & recent tapes, and a few quotes from the band along the way. Now, one of the band members instantly saw this on YouTube and decided to give Emily a call, in order to ask her to direct their video for 'The Kids From Yesterday.' She obviously agreed & she wrote on MCR's blog all about the video. To me, it is the greatest video I have ever come across, but as we all know, everyone has their own opinions, which makes me angry when coming across rude, armature people posting hate-comments about the band on one of their videos. It's simple; if you don't like the band, don't watch their video's and more than that, don't comment. Anyway, enough of me raging on to you all on how much I love these babes, I think it's about time I give you the link for 'The Kids From Yesterday,' as this video is so special, it deserves a link straight away. ;- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXiLHIYqb_Y

Okay, I have come to the end of this blog post for now, so I hope you've all learnt enough on Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Kilijoys, and please don't leave hate comments on YouTube, because many people will take advantage of this, & just call you twats, or something rude. And there's nothing worse than coming across something stupid like that. Anyway, Live Fast, Die Young. That's enough from me for now, I apologize for my lack in blogging recently, I've been busy with school work. I promise it shall never happen again, so bye for now, guys! Enjoy!

YOU ME AT SIX! *and breathe.*

If you know me personally, you'd know how much i'm in love with You Me At Six. They are my heroes, my inspirations (even though their men, & i am a teenage girl) but they truly are my idols.

Josh Franceschi, Max Helyer, Chris Miller, Matt Barnes & Dan Flint are now known as the Best British Band, & also, true babes, and hilarious boys. Max Helyer is my celebrity crush..with all his tattoos, his dreamy eyes, his gorgeous hair..okay, I need to keep calm & carry on, see what I did there? ;-) Not only are they known for their unforgettable concerts, and partying, but their hilarious personalities offstage. Josh as the cute young one, being the ladies' favorite, but he's only ever had one girlfriend after all, Max being the wild, and hilarious one, fooling around, annoying the others but his adorableness saves it all. Matt is known as the sensible, older member, but still very funny & nice at the same time, Dan is known as the hard-core, mysterious one, leaving girls swooning over his six pack. But, I don't blame them, he is gorgeous. And finally, Chris, the shy one, the nice one, but still very funny when he wants to be. You can obviously make out that I've been watching their tour videos on YouTube ;-)

So, what are You Me At Six, really? Where are they from? What genre?
Well, i have the answer for you right here guys! You Me At Six are a pop-punk, rock band, inspired by Incubus, Blink 182 and many other punk bands. Their originally from Weybridge, Surrey. The band started out as a pop-punk band, performing only at small concerts, or gigs, but they then decided to create an album of their own, which was released in 2008, where they rose to fame with 'Take Off Your Colours,' which included some great songs, from 'Save It For The Bedroom' to a heart-clenching ballad, 'Always Attract.' This album is a must-buy in my point of view. ;D Okay, I need to cool down. Their original drummer, Joe Phillips, got kicked out the band, and got replaced by the one-and-only..Dan Flint, just before the release of their first album. They were then nominated for 'Best British Band' at the 2008, 2009 & 2010 Kerrang! Awards, but sadly losing every time due to Bullet For My Valentine, but finally earning their place as the best british band in last year's awards.
Their second album came shortly afterwards, on the 11th of January, 2010, called 'Hold Me Down.' This album is amazing. It's constantly on repeat with me, I just can't get enough of them! This album reached number 5 in the UK charts, & was said to be 'their best album yet.' But in my opinion, Sinners Never Sleep, their third album totally tops every other album they've released. Anyway, this album included the popular singles, 'Underdog,' 'Fireworks,' and the unforgettable 'Liquid Confidence.' Wow, what a song. But my favorite has to be 'Hard To Swallow' or 'Trophy Eyes.'
Moving on to their third album, their current album in all accounts, Sinners Never Sleep. What a frikinnnn' album, guyssssss!;D WOW. I love it, I love it, I LOVE IT! Released on the 3rd of October, 2011, this album reached no.3 in the UK Charts, including the famous songs 'Loverboy' and 'Bite My Tongue' or my favorite 'The Dilemma,' which is definitely one of my favorite songs of all time. Oli Sykes, the frontman of Bring Me The Horizon has appeared in 'Bite My Tongue,' making the song unique with his outstanding vocals & screaming. FYI, I know every word, believe it or not ;-)

To make things even more exciting for me, and for all you sixers reading this, Josh, Matt & Max have clothing lines! Down But Not Out is the most known line, as Josh could be known as the most famous of them all. But my favorite has to be Antique, Max Helyer's clothing line, and that's not because I have a massive crush on him. I'd do anything to meet him. But, the unisex t-shirts and hoodies really are amazing, and very attractive.

I could go on & on forever about You Me At Six to you guys, but I'm afraid I must go now, and I'd probably bore you to death with all my fantasizing! Anyway, I know I say this all the time, but if you have any spare time, and you're a punk-rock, alternative lover, listen to these babes, and you won't regret it. I've gotten my best friend obsessed with them too, and we're definitely going to watch them live next year, along with My Chemical Romance. They are a true inspiration of mine, & I'll never get over them, even if I tried. (Which I most probably won't.) ;D

30 Seconds To Mars.

Okay, so you know when you get that heart-felt feeling of love when you get inspired by music? Well, that feeling occurred to me once I first heard 30 Seconds To Mars on MTV Rocks one Tuesday night. (I know, I'm that sad to remember what day it actually was..) Not only do they produce such emotional and unforgettable music, but they really do know how to put on an amazing show. I hadn't heard of this band before listening to my now favorite song 'Kings & Queens' on MTV Rocks, but after that, I can't stop listening to them. I've bought their album and everything.

Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Tomo are now known for their unfathomable performances onstage and their brilliant songwriting skills from 30 Seconds To Mars. Jared (The Lead Singer) can be known as wild, as he colours his hair a lot before performing on tour, and his unforgettable voice reaching every high note possible in each of their songs. Shannon Leto and Jared are brothers which made it much easier for them both to create a band, and considering Shannon completed his Grade 8 drumming and Jared on his guitar, they only needed a lead guitar and keyboard player, and that's how Tomo got involved into this band. All three have amazing personalities with a sense of humor too which makes it so much easier to get along and fall in love with these babes while watching their tour videos on YouTube. Tomo can be known as quite a quiet member of the band; considering he's so concerned and connected to the music. And Jared too is equally connected to the music, as he sings his heart out to every performance, giving the crowd a memorable vocally performance. And Shannon plays his percussion & drums amazingly, leaving goosebumps on your arms if you really listen to the music.

So, how many albums have 30 Seconds To Mars produced? Well, three albums altogether, the first was simply called '30 Seconds to Mars' released in 2002, which included the famous tracks 'Edge of the Earth' and 'Capricorn: (A Brand New Name)' and then in 2005 came 'A Beautiful Lie,' one of the most listened albums in America at the time. And finally, released just four years ago, was 'This Is War,' the only album I own from 30 Seconds To Mars (yet!). In this album included the famous track, the track that I fell in love with, 'Kings & Queens,' which I do recommend anyone to listen to. And if you get as emotional as I do with music, you'd cry and have goosebumps all over your body..like I did. I know, you guys must think I'm such a baby. ;-) 'Closer To The Edge' is also my favorite track of all time, considering the video included such emotional teenagers, singing about how their never noticed for their music, but their looks, which I can really attach to. 'Vox Populi' and 'Search & Destroy' are also two great tracks in this album, and I really do hope these three amazing guys continue to produce music such as this.

30 Seconds To Mars are a progressive rock and alternative group, which are two of my best genres, including punk, and if you love these genres, a soft rock ballad with emotional lyrics & amazing music filling your ears, then I'd totally recommend you listening to these babes. :-) You seriously won't regret it, unless you're more of a punk person, then maybe not. Okay, maybe I should shut up now and go back to listen to my playlist - 'the best bands ever.' (Which include YOU ME AT SIX, My Chemical Romance, Guns N' Roses, Bon Jovi & of course, 30 Seconds To Mars!) But if you do have some spare time one boring day, when it's raining or when you've got nothing good on your list to do, have a look on youtube at one of their videos, and trust me, I know I say this all the time, but they are truly amazing. ;D
