Chill, it's the weekend & 38 Days To Go!

From this week, I honestly can say that I am so glad it's the weekend. It's been such a frustrating week for me at school, dealing with stress, the homework, deadlines, controlled assessments, and to top it all off - heartbreak. That's it, a guy broke my heart earlier this week, and left me collapsing onto the floor cuddling my dog with tears flooding down my cheeks without intentions to do so. I know, I'm really soppy. They say 'the school days are the best days of your life,' ahahahahahahahahahahaha, not really. So now, I'm sat here at 6:00pm on Friday night, writing this blog while listening to The Killers' album 'Hot Fuss,' and Paranormal Activity's on telly with me, (I love scary movies,) and trying to forget the disastrous week I've had, and hoping no week will ever be like this again.

You're probably wondering what this post has to do with music, but as you all know, 38 days 'till Christmas guys! Omfg, can I be anymore excited? I've already asked the parents what I would like for Christmas, and hoping to go shopping for it next week. Excitement is taking over the heartbreak. My 8 year old iPod has sadly crashed, not willing to play songs, and only the right earphone works, yay. So, obviously an iPod is first on my list, along with a Wii Fit or a Kindle, decisions decisions. My fitness is improving, after 5 months of 30 minutes on the bike every single night and running every single night, and the once-a-week-gym sessions. So, I think I'll give the Wii Fit a miss. Anyway, while I'm blabbing on about what I want for Christmas, what are the greatest Christmas songs ever created? Wham!'s 'Last Christmas?' Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You?' Or Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas?' Well, it's festive season and it's about time we start listening to these beauty songs to put us in a great jolly mood. If I were the one choosing my Top 10 Christmas songs, it would go a little like this :-

1.All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey
2. Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer
3. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - Wizzard
4. Santa Clause Is Coming To Town
5. Do They Know It's Christmas - Band Aid
6. Grandma Got Run Over By Reindeer - Elmo & Patsy
7. Wham! - Last Christmas
8. Santa Baby -  Eartha Kitt
9. Jingle Bells
10. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree - Dion

I'm getting into the festive spirit already. Me & my friends have decided to do secret santa this year & to spend £25 on that individual. I haven't started shopping yet. Yep, so organised I am. But, I'm sure I'll start when December comes peeking around the corner. If you want my advice, don't leave everything to the last minute as I always do. But, anyway, get too excited, annoy your classmates, scream the place down with anger & frustration, and remember 38 DAYS TO GO!

BRANDON FLOWERS.

Okay, so what would you all ask Brandon Flowers if he turned up on your doorstep in random? What does he like about performing? What does he think The Killers will do next? Does he enjoy singing or performing mostly? Where are the best fans stated? So, there's the normal questions you'd ask him, yeah? Well, because I'm basically abnormal, and proud of it too, I have my very own question to ask him. Yep, that's it, I'd ask him to marry me. He is basically my ideal man. The love of my life. He'd obviously say no as he has a loving wife & two children but it's worth a try.

If you've been reading my other posts, you'd know that my Brandon Flowers obsession hadn't occurred, until last week, when I was feeling quite crap & heartbroken so I turned to The Killers' album 'Hot Fuss,' for help, and it honestly cheered me up big time. I then realized what a loyal man Brandon Flowers is. I feel as if he's written the lyrics exactly for myself, the way I feel, so he's been through the same situations. And there is nothing better than interacting with someone who feels or felt the same way I do, I feel I can relate to him in so many ways. My favourite song has to be 'Mr. Brightside,' or Brandon's very own song, 'Crossfire.' Here are some of Brandon's and The Killers' lyrics:

'I just can't look, it's killing me,
And taking control,
Jealousy, turning saints into the sea,
Swimming through sick lullabies,
Choking on your alibis,
But it's just the price I pay,
Destiny is calling me,
Open up my eager eyes,
Cause I'm Mr Brightside.'

'Let's take a chance baby we can't lose,
Mean we're all just runaways,
I knew it when I met you, I'm not gonna let you runaway,
I knew that when I held you, I wasn't letting go.'

Here are some of  The Killers' songs on YouTube.

What did you just say, *hu-hum,* SING?

When people are suicidal, they tend to turn to music, right? Well, how true is that saying? Pop music, the music that fills the charts these days, I know - draaaaaaag, don't really tend to be inspirational in any sort of way, they only sing about girls, love, sex, & drugs. But rock music is different. Punk-rock bands, such as My Chemical Romance, Deaf Havana, Iron Maiden, Green Day & You Me At Six write lyrics which affect people in an unforgettable way. When people are suicidal, 80% of them will turn to Rock Music. I think it's because many band members have gone through hard times, such as alcolism, depression, drug abuse or even been suicidal themselves, and they include their feelings at that time in their music. Some of my favourite lyrics are mostly said by Gerard Way, Josh Franceschi, Chris Martin, Billy-Joe Armstrong, Jared Leto, yeah and many more. When I feel depressed, or fed up of school work and my life-style, the song that comes on right away is 'Alibi - 30 Seconds To Mars,' and then following with -

'Sleep' - My Chemical Romance
'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' - Green Day
'Hallelujah' - Paramore
'Fireworks' - You Me At Six
'No One Does It Better' - You Me At Six
'A Beautiful Lie' - 30 Seconds to Mars
'I'm Not Okay (I Promise)' - My Chemical Romance
'Famous Last Words' - My Chemical Romance
'Stop The Clocks' - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
'Resistance' - Muse

I know, they are quite depressing songs but they really do cheer me up, as they sing about my feelings at that moment. So, whenever I feel moody even, I put my headphones into my iPod & put these fantastic songs on shuffle, while lying down on my bed. And 90% of the times, I end up smiling up at the ceiling, happy with my life. I also take a look at some inspirational quotes. (I know, I am quite weird, but it helps me.) So, yeah, I'll put some of my favourite quotes down below, so if you're feeling fed up of life one day, remember that these pictures are on this very blog.
